The HOBY mission is to inspire and prepare future young leaders for a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. HOBY empowers young people to dream big, make an impact, and change the world. Our leadership programs are designed to educate, motivate and activate students, giving them the tools they need to turn their ideas into action and reach their goals. Each program adheres to the five core HOBY values: Volunteerism, Integrity, Excellence, Diversity, and Community Partnership. REQUEST INFO HOBY WORLDWIDE HOBY’s international programs empower young people to become a positive force around the world. In such countries as Canada, China, Iraq, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom—and most recently Togo and Uganda—students have had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through a local HOBY seminar. Students can further their skills and service experience at HOBY’s World Leadership Congress, held every year in a major U.S. city or location. Students from countries such as Albania, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Korea, Sudan, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and many others attend and participate in this multicultural leadership experience. LEARN ABOUT HOBY WORLDWIDEMy experience at HOBY changed my life and led me to start my own organization, Commemorating Officers and Personnel Everywhere (COPE). HOBY unveiled a passion for volunteerism that I didn’t know I had. My mission with COPE is to boost morale in departments that had experienced the loss of personnel. Without HOBY, I wouldn’t have discovered this passion for serving others that has allowed me to reach so many individuals. -Adrianne Holocker, HOBY Maryland "HOBY provided my daughter Julia with an experience that allowed her to put her growing awareness into a context and the courage to take action. Since that weekend, she has initiated some volunteer activities for herself. She discovered a passion for writing and signed up to volunteer to work at summer school and became a youth mentor." -Betsy Peabody, Parent & School Counselor, Concord High School My son Declan attended HOBY in Sacramento in June. He came home inspired and energized and spoke movingly about the friendships he formed (I wish everyone at my high school was as nice as the kids at HOBY!”) as well as the great speakers he had the opportunity to hear. He was proud of himself for pushing himself outside his comfort zone by making a point to introduce himself to tons of people. -Ariele Taylor McManus, Parent My son Armando attended the HOBY session in June. The greatest takeaway as a parent was the reinforcement of giving back to the community in which you live and the difference that one person can make. The message from HOBY resonated with Armando and reinforced concepts we have always taught him. I look forward to seeing him put it into action over the next school year. -Kelé Piper, Parent LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna MENTORSHIP PROGRAMSNon-Discrimination Policy Privacy Policy Are you a HOBY Alumnus?
